ICF Tennessee Presents: Celebrating Black Voices In Coaching

ICF Tennessee Presents: Celebrating Black Voices In Coaching

The following is from our International Coaching Federation-Tennessee Chapter for which I serve on the Board of Directors. It is my joy to moderate this discussion.

“As we continue to celebrate Black History Month, ICFTN’s DEIB committee is pleased to present Celebrating Black Voices in Coaching. During this live session, you’ll have the opportunity to hear perspectives from ICFTN President Anna Walker and DEIB Committee members Dr. Nicole Gates and Paris Ducker. Moderated by DEIB Director Joyce Kyles, our esteemed panelists will take you on a journey regarding their professional and lived experiences, provide insights for new, seasoned, or aspiring coaches, welcome space for audience interaction, and ways to become a member and volunteer. Tune in live on the ICF Tennessee LinkedIn Page, Facebook Page, or Instagram Page on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 12:30 pm CT / 1:30 pm ET. See you there!”

I was named the Atlanta Black Chambers’ Women’s League Woman Crush Wednesday! Read the interview here:

We LOVE our Women’s League members of the Atlanta Black Chambers!
Today’s #WomanCrushWednesday is Joyce Kyles! Joyce is the CEO of Joyce Kyles Consulting LLC. (https://lnkd.in/dZFWB4b

Joyce Kyles Consulting offers solution-centered, in-person, and/or virtual speaking, coaching, and consulting in the areas of mental health & wellness, mental illness, DEIB, leadership development, strategic planning, and transitional thriving skills in life and business.

When did you connect with your passion?
I’ve always enjoyed helping people, and I’ve been volun-told by my grandmother to speak & teach in front of audiences since I was a teen. But it wasn’t until about 10 years ago when someone told me how the advice I gave actually helped them with their own transition. I realized that my professional credentials and personal lived experiences were a uniquely perfect blend of my passion and path to prosperity.

What was your key reason for joining the Atlanta Black Chambers?
I found the ABC to be an organization committed to supporting business owners in a way that is educational, informative, and encourages collaboration and the sharing of resources. I was especially pleased to learn there was a Women’s League within the chamber. Seeing the professional sisterhood in action solidified my decision to join.

Share a goal you have this year for your company or brand:
My goal is to expand my business to more government and international spaces.
